Mangalore: Two Injured After Youths Clash in Saibeen Shopping Complex

Mangalore, Mar 16: Two people were injured after a clash between two groups of youths at Saibeen Complex in Lalbagh on Monday March 16. 

The incident occurred on Monday evening after three youth allegedly demanded ‘hafta’ by brandishing a knife from a mobile shop located in the complex.  

Zubair, who has a mobile shop on the third floor of the building, and Mustafa, a shop owner, are the injured who have been admitted to a private hospital in the city. The latter has injured his right hand. 

Speaking from the hospital, Zubair said that they were injured when they tried to apprehend the people who were demanding ‘hafta’.  

Prathviraj, resident of Bejai, has lodged a complaint with Barke police about the incident. Describing the course of events at, he said that he had been to the complex to sell a second hand mobile set. 

Prathviraj alleged that the bargaining turned heated and led to the clash after the youths in the complex surrounded them and assaulted them.  

Police have also taken statements given by Zubair and Mustafa and both parties have  lodged complaints at Barke police station.

    Even prathviraj being a culprit he has sued against zubair & musthafa this is all bcoz of BJP govt...pl people of mangalore bware if u al support this illegal activities then we hav to face da consequences...save us from this communal party..

    Due to stupid BJP govt.Mumbai culture is shifting to Mangalore. Hafta... a new beginning of underworld culture, turns into violence, lot of prostitution, spreads communal riots and then makes difficult for peace loving people to live in this city. Beware of the consequences in future and do not encourage such illeagal activities in Mangalore area....

    Hafta is easy way of earning big money if given by giver. Hard work can give only daily bread. But instead of taking risks it is preferred to earn money more over why these communal clashes? Are we not all Indians? Why can't we adjust with each other? This is not good for healthy India.
