Houston : Mangaloreans Celebrate Easter

Houston, Apr 14: Easter was celebrated by Mangaloreans in Houston, USA on Sunday 12th April 2009 at the residence of Max and Leena Saldanha. The gathering started at noon with a Prayer led by the hosts.

Games were conducted for the children and adults separately by the team led by Maureen Fernandes. All were enthralled by a musical performance by Ivan, Lumina and Sheryl.
























Each family had cooked a dish and all joined together to enjoy the Mangalorean style mouth watering food. Choicest variety of wine was in full flow.

The party went on till the evening singing and dancing to the tunes of popular English, Konkani and Hindi songs put together by DJ Chris.

    Special thanks to Melwyn Machado, for bring most of Mangalorean families together. Its because of Mr. Machado's efforts we have been able to cherish our Mangalorean heritage in Houston. The easter function was very successful because all the families cooperated in every possible way.
