Mumbai: Bantara Sangha holds annual educational, social welfare programme

Mumbai, Jun 10: The education and social welfare committee of Mumbai held its annual programme in memory of late Vasu K Shetty under the sponsorship of Charisma Builders managing director Sudhir V Shetty. Hospitality leader’s industry choice awardee, entrepreneur, M R G group managing director Korangrapady Prakash Shetty was the chief guest.

President of the sangha, Padmanabha S Payyade chaired the programme. Jagatika Bantara Sangha Okkoota president Aikala Harish Shetty, former Karnataka minister, Chikkamagaluru MLA C T Ravi, Sudhir V Shetty, Tunga hotel group managing director Sudhaker S Hegde and S V Shetty English medium school Kalyan trustee Surendra V Shetty were present.

The sangha has distributed scholarships worth Rs 1 crore 80 lac to hundreds of students in the community. The sangha has also adopted students, provided monetary help to differently abled students deprived of education. The guests and office bearers distributed them and wished the best for the future of children.



The programme began with Banta Geethe. Suchita Shetty sang a prayer song.

Committee president Ultoor Mohandas Shetty welcomed the gathering and gave an introductory address.

Honorary chief secretary CA Sanjiva Shetty introduced the felicities. Secretary Khandesh Bhasker Y Shetty gave details of the activities of the committee and thanked everyone.

Bantaravani honorary chief editor Ashok Pakkala compered the programme.

Heads of local committees, office bearers and members were present.

Artistes from local committees performed dances as part of the entertainment.
