Mangalore: Rain Lashes Twin-districts again

Mangalore, May 28: The city received good rains on the night of Wednesday May 27.  The rain that had turned truant after making  a grand appearance on Friday last, only to return to some regions in the twin districts thereafter in the form of light showers, returned to the twin-districts in good measure.

Heavy rains have been reported from Sullia, Subrahmanya, Beltangady, Dharmastala, Puttur besides Bantwal and Kasargod taluks. Various places in Karkala taluk besides Udupi, Manipal, Brahmavar, Sastan, Kundapur etc., in Udupi district too got good rains.

Vehicular traffic was affected for some time, after Udupi city bus  area got inundated as the rain water could not flow freely through the storm drains.
