Mangaluru: Dakshina Kannada remains largely dry - Rural areas report rainfall

Mangaluru, Aug 29: The city and other parts of Dakshina Kannada district largely remained dry on Wednesday, August 28. Several parts of the district, particularly rural belts, got some rain in the early hours on Wednesday. Later, cloudy weather and drizzle were experienced. During the entire day, cloudy weather and sunny weather played hide and seek.

Beltangady received six mm rainfall while Bantwal got 3.4 mm rain. The city experienced 5.7 mm rain while Puttur recorded 0.6 mm.

Netravati and Kumaradhara rivers at Uppinangady were at 24.6 metres while River Netravti's level at Bantwal stood at 5.2 metres.
