Kundapur: Lady police constable dies of sickness

Kundapur, Aug 29: A lady police constable, who was sick for sometime, here has collapsed and died.

Deceased Sharada J Gowda(28), daughter of Chandranani, Honnavar resident Jetty Gowda, was employed in Kundapur police station.

Sharada had joined state police force in 2011 and employed in Kundapur police station since 2017. It is said that she went on leave eight months ago due to sickness. She had gone home after getting treated and discharged in K S Hegde hospital, Mangaluru. However she collapsed all of a sudden on Wednesday evening. Though she was rushed to Mangaluru hospital, she died on Thursday evening.

Sharada was a spinster and fifth among six children of her father Jetty Gowda. She was the youngest among four girls. She has an elder brother and a young brother.

Kundapur police station staff, traffic police staff, anti crime division staff, DySP and police circle inspector office staff paid their last respects at Sangam, NH66 when her mortal remains were being taken to Honnavar from Mangaluru.
