Davanagere: Annual feast of shrine of Our Lady of Health Harihar on Sept 8

Davanagere, Aug 30: The annual feast of shrine of Our Lady of Health Harihar, will be celebrated on September 8.

There will be flag hoisting ceremony on August 30 by Fr Franklin D’Souza, parish priest, Our Lady of Assumption Church, Hiriyur, marking the inauguration to the feast. On occasion of feast, there will be novena from August 30 to September 7 at 5:30 pm daily.

On September 7, 5:30 pm Mass will be celebrated by Dr Peter Paul Saldanha, bishop of Mangaluru. On the feast day, Masses will be held from 5:30 am to 8:00 pm. At 7:30 am Dr Joseph Arumachadath, bishop of Bhadravathi. At 8:45 am, Dr Rayapan, St Peter’s Pontifical Seminary Bengaluru.



Festival Mass in Kannada will be celebrated at 11:30 am by Dr Francis Serrao, bishop of Shimoga, at 1:30 pm by Dr Derek Fernandes, bishop of Belgaum and at 4:00 pm Dr Arokya Swamy, Mysuru diocese will be main celebrants on the feast day.

On September 7, there will be Rosary in procession, novena prayers, floral homage, Holy Eucharist, Anna Santharpane and solemn procession at 5:00 pm.

There will be adoration to the Blessed Sacrament and healing service for the sick (8 pm to 9 pm) by Fr Franklin D'Souza, Fr Roman Pinto, Fr Pius D’Souza, Bro T K George and Bro William D’Souza.
