Beltangady: Charmadi ghat opened for light vehicle commuting in daytime

Beltangady, Aug 30: Deputy Commissioner of Chikkamagalur has ordered the opening of the Charmadi ghat that was closed for traffic in the wake of landslides that occurred on the bends of the ghat due to the recent flooding and heavy rains.

The ghat is opened only for light vehicles including jeep, car and two-wheelers from 7 am to 6 pm only. The ghat is opened considering the inconvenience it was causing to the people. But is it allowed to be used only during day time.
