Mangaluru, Aug 31: “Union government has failed to deliver promises of bringing back black money. Instead, they took huge sum from the Reserve bank of India,” accused former minister U T Khader.

Addressing media here on Friday, August 30, Khader said, "Union government has taken a huge sum of Rs 1.76 lac crore from the RBI without any valid reason to withdraw the huge amount. Prior to the election, BJP had promised to bring back black money but now they have forgotten it completely. Government should reveal the truth behind taking money from the RBI as people have every right to know about it.

“The economy has come down drastically ever since BJP has assumed power. Even the intelligence department has failed as rumours are being spread about terrorists entering to coastal region. How is it possible for a terror group to enter the coastal region if the security measures are in place?

“The district MLAs and MPs have failed miserably in releasing compensation for flood victims in the state from the union government. It is unfortunate that a team from the central government has not visited the district to assess the damages done due to flood, when they are already in the state visiting other districts. Even no measures are taken for the 27 families of Pacchanady, who are the victims of garbage landslide. We urge government to immediately respond to their grievances.”
