Udupi, Sep 2: It is our duty to preserve the heritage of Ganeshotsava, which has progressed as a sign of religion and unity. Let there be no outer pompousness in the celebration of Ganesha Chathurthi, which harms the culture of the festival. Let there be fear and dedication in this religious celebration. With this as the motive senior student artists of Trivarna Kala Kendra of Manipal under the leadership of director of the institute as well as an artiste himself Harish Saga created sand art of Lord Ganesha on the Malpe beach for public exhibition.
Dr G S K Bhat, Anusha Acharya, Caroline, Raghavendra, Guruprasad, Jai Neralekatte, Santhosh Bhat, Yasha G and Prasad R Satvak participated in the creation of this unique sand Ganapa.
This is an attempt by the artists to send a message for the well-being of the society on the auspicious occasion of Ganesha Chathurthi.
