Bangalore, Jul 15: The State High Court has stayed the operation of the externment order issued by Dakshin Kannada district deputy commissioner last year, banning the entry of Sriram Sene chief Pramod Mutalik from into the district.

Holding him responsible for incidents like pub attack and incidents of communal disturbances that were witnessed in the district last year and in view of the provocative statements and speeches he had delivered elsewhere, the deputy commissioner had banned the entry of Pramod Mutalik into the district. Questioning this move, Mutalik had filed a writ petition in the High Court.

Justice Pachapurre who heard the petition, stayed the externment order.
