Bengaluru, Sep 21: Former Karnataka chief minister H D Kumaraswamy, has approached the high court with a request to cancel the hearing going on in the special court for people's representatives relating to illegal denotification allegations.

The case pertains to denotification of 3.34 acres of land in Banashankari fifth phase of Bengaluru. The denotified land was pertaining to Halagevaderhalli village. Hearing in the case is being held in the said court, and Kumaraswamy has been asked through summons, to appear before the special court on October 4.

In the petition, Lokaukta police and private complainant M S Mahadevaswamy, have been named as defendants. This petition is listed on September 23 before the bench presided over by Justice P S Dinesh Kumar.

Former chief minister Siddaramaiah, has also sought the high court to quash the hearing in the special people's representatives’ court pertaining to illegal denotification.

The allegation relates to denotification of 30 guntas of land out of land acquired by Mysuru Urban Development Authority for second phase extension of Vijayanagar, Mysuru. It is alleged that Siddaramaiah built a house in 10 guntas of land out of 535 acres acquired by the authority. The complainant, Gangaraju has accused the former chief minister of selling the said house after constructing it.

The police, who investigated this complaint, had filed 'B' report. Gangaraju had questioned this report in the court. The court ordered cancellation of B report and asked Siddaramaiah through summons to appear in the court.
