He said that the government is trying to destroy diversity by slapping one language policy in the country. “People in the state were devastated due to floods two months ago, but the centre has not released any amount for them yet. 25 MPs elected in the state are acting as if they are coolies of Modi and Shah. Chief minister Yediyurappa has no courage to look into the eyes of Amit Shah. The identity of Vijaya Bank, Canara Bank and Syndicate Bank is destroyed by merging them with other banks. Article 370 was scrapped to divert the attention of people to elsewhere. Economist, P Chidamabaram was arrested due to fear that he speaks on economic drawback. D K Shivakumar was sent to jail to cause setback in the state by elections. Political atrocities of Modi and Shah will not be successful at any cost,” he said.

Former Puttur MLA Shakuntala Shetty said that the prime minister says that he constructed toilets in India. “The feeling that everything is because of me is an indication of dictatorship,” she said.

Former minister Vinay Kumar Sorake who led the protests said that those who lost their land and houses in floods are committing suicide. “There is no payment of compensation so far. When there were floods in the state in the past, the Congress government had released Rs 1,600 crore even before prime minister Manmohan Singh returned to Delhi after aerial survey. Our campaign now is for the poor workers and the welfare of base level community and we will not rest until it is successful,” he said.
