Bengaluru, Sep 24: A young lady ended her life on Sunday September 22, having been annoyed by the fact that her lover who usually took her for joy rides around the city failed to do so. The incident happened in a paying guest accommodation within the limits of Banashankari police station.

The identity of the victim has been given as Gayatri. She was from Thanjavur in Tamil Nadu. She was a postgraduate course student of a prestigious college in the city. She was in love with her classmate Sudarshan, who also belongs to her native place.

Gayatri had the habit of travelling around the city in the company of Sudarshan every Sunday from morning to evening. On Sunday September 22 evening, she had expressed her willingness to go around the city. But Sudarshan had expressed his unwillingness on some pretext.

Enraged by this, Gayatri reportedly sent a message to Sudarshan, threatening to end her life. Sudarshan got angry and blocked her number. Gayatri, hurt by this neglect, hanged herself at her paying guest accommodation.

Al case about the incident was filed in Banashankari police station. The police are investigating the case.
