The two had married two months back.

The couple had entered wedlock on May 14 this year. The family members, who realized what had happened, made arrangements immediately to take them to hospital. But they breathed their last before they could be medically attended to, the policemen said.

HIV test must be made mandatory for all who want to marry and results of such test should be given to the prospective partners and their immediate families. The bride should be tested by the grooms doctors and vice versa. Again in India one can get professional degrees without studies, HIV negative certificates too is possible because of corrupt system. Here the doctors and lab technicians must act with social and moral responsibility. Its a tragedy that bride has been made as scape goat for no fault of hers. Secondly her parents must have spent huge sum on her dowry and marriage. What a sorry state??

I agree that testing should be made before marriage but more work should be done towards sensitising the general public in accepting the people with HIV.

It should be made compulsory to have AIDS test for marrying couples as lot of problem can be avoided. There is nothing wrong for both girls and boys to go for AIDS medical check up. One should live a realistic life not imaginary.
