Puttur: Delegation meets Railway Board Chairman - Puts forth State's Demands

Puttur, Jul 22: A delegation representing Karnataka Coast, comprising of MPs Nalin Kumar Kateel and Anant Kumar Hegde and state's Delhi representative V Dhananjay Kumar, led by state BJP president and MP D V Sadanand Gowda, met Railway Board chairman N S Khurana recently.

The delegation strongly placed its demand for commencing day-train service between Bangalore and Mangalore, extension of the present Bangalore-Mangalore train to Karwar and extending the proposed Mumbai-Karwar super fast train up to Mangalore.

Dakshina Kannada Lok Sabha member Nalin Kumar informed that the Railway Board chairman has promised to consider these demands on priority.
