Mangalore, Jul 24: The city’s Karnataka Beary Sahitya Academy has invited applications for honourary awards for the year 2008–09.
Two distinguished individuals will be chosen for their significant contributions in promoting Beary language, its literature, study, and research.
The applications can be submitted by candidates themselves or recommended by their well wishers. Applicants are advised to fill in all information in the form prescribed by the academy.
The completed applications can be sent in by post with a copy of a recent photograph and all supporting documents or can be personally delivered at the academy.
The envelopes consisting of these details should be marked ‘Application for Honourary Award–2008’ and addressed to:
