Mangalore, Jul 24: Eric Ozario, former chairman of the Konkani Sahitya Academy, has been selected honourary president of the welcome committee of the state-level educational study workshop to be organized by the Students Federation of India (SFI).
 
A press release by the SFI said that it plans to build a strong movement for the development of the education system in India. It added that the organization would also protest the communalization of education.

The four-day workshop will be inaugurated on August 28 and conclude on August 31 at Kalaangann in Shakthinagar.
 
The welcome committee includes thinkers, writers, and experts in the field of education.

Ozario has been selected based on his service in the field of literature, art, and music.

The release issued by Prashanth Achar, district president of SFI, said that the workshop will see the participation of members from the state-level.
