Sri Vishwaprasanna Theertha Swamiji undertakes padayathra from Udupi to Neelavara

Udupi, Nov 10: As an annual practice, Sri Vishwaprasanna Theertha Swamiji of Pejawar Math launched padayathra from Udupi to Goshala Neelavara on Sunday, November 10.

The padayathra was undertook to mark Shrimadhbhagavata Saptaha, which begins from November 10 to end on November 16.

Pejawar junior swamiji, Vidwan Chaturvedi Vedavyasacharya and Vidwan N Venkateshacharya will be present at the discourses for the next three days.

With the divine blessings of Sri Vishwesha Theertha Swamiji, senior pontiff, Pejawar Math, Udupi, Sri Vishwaprasanna Theertha Swamiji, junior pontiff, Pejawar Math, Udupi, has decided to take on padayatra from Sri Krishna Math Udupi to Neelavara Goshala.

On Monday November 11, there will be pooja, pravachana and distribution of theertha prasadam. Followed by that go-seva is organized.

He went through Udupi Math-Badagupete, Kalsanka- Gundibailu, Ambagilu-Santhekatte-MadiMallirjuna temple- Herur - Kunjalu road.

The distance between Udupi to Neeavara Goshala is around 18 kms. It is located amidst thick green area, on the banks of river Sita. Vishwaprasan loves cattle and himself takes care of cows. He does all works like grass cutting, milking, and giving food.

This goshala is run by the Govardhanagiri Trust founded and spearheaded by SrVishvesha Theertha Swamiji and Sri Sri Vishwa Prasanna Teertha Swamiji, senior and junior pontiffs of Sri Pejavara Math.

The goshala is spread across 27 acres of land. Around hundreds of cows and buffaloes are being taken care of. Several of them are household ones left on roads, wounded and rescued from slaughter houses.
