Chitradurga, Nov 12: In an accident which happened near Singapur Kavalakatti here on Monday, November 11 night, an ambulance knocked down a woman who was crossing the road. The ambulance was speeding on national highway 13 when this accident happened.

Due to the impact of the accident, Pallavi (18) from Kavalahatti village, died on the spot.

Condemning the rash and reckless driving on the part of the ambulance driver, relatives of the deceased and villagers held protest demonstration in front of the hospital.

A case was registered in Chitradurga rural police station and a probe has been launched.
