Kaup, Nov 14: A vehicle carrying a load of fish tripped at Moodbettu Chowtara Katte on national highway 66 near Katapady. The vehicle was damaged in the incident and fish was spread over the road. This incident happened on Wednesday November 13.
The Tata Ace vehicle in question was carrying Kargil variety of fish from Mangaluru to Udyavar near here. As the front tyre of the vehicle exploded when the vehicle was on the move, the driver lost control over the vehicle. The vehicle fell on the road and its driver had a miraculous escape.
Traffic on highway was affected for some time as a result. Police personnel of Katapady outpost arrived on the spot and arranged for the traffic to resume. By afternoon, the fish spread over the road was put together and transported.
