Kundapur: Panchavarna Rajyotsava award conferred on Harekala Hajabba

Kundapur, Nov 18: "The youth associations of villages are growing at an excellent pace. That too the work of Kota Panchavarna Yuvaka Mandalas is highly appreciable. That too honouring the saint of literacy Harekala Hajabba is really meaningful," said minister for Muzrai and Dakshina Kannada district in charge minister Kota Srinivas Poojary.

Poojary was speaking at the 22nd Panchavarna Rajyotsava award ceremony after conferring the award on Literacy Saint Harekala Hajabba. The minister further said, "Government will take action in providing fundamental infrastructure to the government school built by Hajabba. In addition, the school will be renovated completely and Rs 10 lac grant will be given by the government for the comprehensive development of the school."

The programme was inaugurated by Anand C Kunder of Geetananda Foundation Kota. Girish Acharya, president of Kota Panchavarna Yuvaka Mandala presided over the function. Entrepreneur Gurme Suresh Shetty did the felicitation.

Kota Chandrashekara Acharya welcomed the gathering. Ravindra Kota did the introductory speech. Ajit Acharya rendered the vote of thanks. The programme was compered by Prasad Billava and Shamanth Kumar K S. The honorary letter was read by Prashanth Padukere, Kartik Narasimha Ganiga, Kartik Acharya, Dinesh Poojary and Raghavendra Ganiga.
