Bangalore: Techie Jumps to Death in Wipro Campus

Bangalore, Aug 28: A software engineer of IT major Wipro Technologies, reportedly committed suicide in the campus of the company located in Electronic City here, on Wednesday August 26, days before his service with the company was to end. The techie has been identified as Vishal Yadav (28), working as business analyst. He allegedly jumped from the fifth floor of the office building. He was the son of Jamuna Yadav, a retired assistant superintendent of transport, Madhya Pradesh. He has also left behind three siblings, two brothers and a sister, all of whom  live in Madhya Pradesh.

Vishal had joined Wipro in the year 2004. He had resigned from his job some time back and was on leave for the last two months. The company had accepted his resignation, and he was to be relieved on August 31.

A guard, who heard a noise at around 10.30 pm on Wednesday night, went to find the cause and found Vishal lying in a pool of blood. Wipro senior vice-president Saurabh Govil regretted the demise of the engineer, saying that preliminary information is that the engineer had fallen from one of the floors of an office building in the campus. He was rushed to a hospital but could not be saved, he explained.
