Mumbai, Sep 20: The unit members of horror film "Hide & Seek" had a terrifying experience beyond the camera during shooting in Ahmedabad, which nearly caused the death of a technician.
Directed by Shawn Aranhna, the film stars Arjan Bajwa of "Fashion" and Purab Kohli. The film was shot at a stretch between July and September in Ahmedabad.
Purab admits there was a near-fatal accident on location in the city.
"The technician didn't die, but he was badly injured. We were shooting all night and then we returned to our hotel. In the morning, we heard one of the buses carrying the crew met with an accident and had overturned. While other members of the unit got light injuries, the technician Rishi and a lightman Pappu had serious injuries," Purab told IANS.
Apparently, Rishi nearly lost his leg.
"Rishi would've lost his leg if the production team hadn't acted quickly. Rishi underwent a complicated surgery. By the grace of god, he's recovering," said Purab.
The matter was quickly hushed up since the injured technician survived and is now recovering.
But the matter and the way it was completely kept away from the media once again brings to light the question of the safety of the crew, specially the less important technicians on location.
