Mangaluru: Puttur Aquatic Club swimmers clinch medals at state non-medallist swimming competition

Mangaluru, Jan 7: Swimmers from Puttur Aquatic Club secured 32 medals and won the second runners up Championship in both boys and girls category at the non-medallist state-level swimming championship recently conducted by Dakshina Kannada Swimming Association at the Mangala Swimming Pool, here.

22 swimmers of Puttur Aquatic Club won 12 gold medals, 10 silver and 10 bronze medals.

# Dhanvi J Rai, 10th standard student from St Philomena High school won 3 gold medals in 50 and 100 metre breaststroke and 50 metre freestyle

 

# Jyothsna Laisa Johnson, 8th standard student from St Rita's School Vittla, won a silver medal in 50 metres breaststroke

# Aakanksha Aithal, 9th standard student of Jnana Ganga Central School won a bronze medal in 100 metre backstroke and 1 silver medal in 50 metre butterfly stroke.

# Nandan Naik, 7th standard student from Sudana Residential School won two bronze medals in 50 and 100 metre breaststroke

# Manya P R, 6th standard student from Bethany Higher Primary school won a bronze medal in 200 metre individual medley

# Laasya Kishen, 3rd standard student from Ambika Vidyalaya won 1 silver medal in 25 metre butterfly stroke and 2 gold medals in 25 metre backstroke and breaststroke

# Likith Ramachandra, 3rd standard student from St Philomena English medium School won 2 silver medals in 25 metre backstroke and breaststroke

# Prathyush L S, first standard student from Ambika Vidyalaya won a bronze medal in 25 metre backstroke

# Amanraj, 6th standard student from Sandeepani Rural Development School won a bronze medal in 100 metres backstroke and a silver in 4*50 individual medley relay

# Adwith Rai Barike, 8th standard student from St Philomena High school won a silver medal in 200 metre individual medley

# Ashish K, 7th standard student from Sudana Residential School won 2 silver medals in 100 metre freestyle and 4*50 metre freestyle relay

# Anvith Rai Barike, 6th standard student from Bethany Higher Primary school won two silver medals in 4*50 metre freestyle relay and 4*50 metre individual medley relay

# Bhuvanram Jagadeesh Bhandary, 9th standard student from Sandeepani Rural English Medium School won a bronze medal in 50 metre butterfly stroke

# Vardhin D Rai, 5th standard student from Ambika Vidyalaya won 3 gold medals in 50 metre butterfly, freestyle and breaststroke and 2 silver medals in 4*50 metre freestyle relay and 4*50 metre individual medley relay

# Diganth V S, 6th standard student from Bethany Higher Primary school won 2 bronze medals in 200 metre individual medley and 50 metre backstroke and 1 gold medal in 100 metre backstroke and 2 silver medals in 4*50 metre freestyle relay and 4*50 metre individual medley relay

# Dhanvith, 7th standard student from Vivekananda English Medium School won a bronze medal in 50 metre freestyle

# Pradhi Clare Pinto, 6th standard student from Bethany Higher Primary school won a gold medal in 50 metre backstroke and a silver in 100 metre backstroke

# Royston Rodrigues, student of 2nd BCom from St Philomena College along with Shreyas Anand, Dhanush and Vaishnav Hegde won a gold medal in 4*50 metre freestyle relay in the open category

#Vaishnav Hegde won his 2nd gold medal in 50 metre breaststroke

All the swimmers are trained by coach Partha Varanashi, coach Niroop G R, coach Rohith, coach Yagnesh and Trishul at the Dr Shivarama Karantha Balavana Swimming Pool, Puttur and St Aloysius Swimming Pool, Mangaluru.
