Bantwal, Jan 10: Former minister B Ramanath Rai had got Rameri-Manadka backward class area road in Rai gram panchayat limits in 2017 developed after getting Rs ten lac approved for the purpose. A plaque with the name of B Ramanath Rai inscribed on it was erected at the spot. Miscreants have damaged it on Thursday night, January 9.

“Opponents who could not tolerate the development work conducted by former minister B Ramanath Rai were scratching their bodies. The destruction of marble stone at Rai area is its continued part. Bantwal block Congress strongly condemns the work of miscreants with distorted mindset,” said block Congress president Baby Kunder.

“BJP could not take up even a single development work after the term of Ramanath Rai. Opponents, who realized that they cannot erase from the minds of people the memories of development, have got down destroying the evidence of development done by Ramanath Rai. The era of development by Ramanath Rai will have to be accepted at any cost and no opponent can deny it,” he said.

Baby Kunder explained that the misdeed in Rai in an insult to the backward class community and people here and is condemnable and unpardonable.
