Udupi: Ugrana named as ‘Anantha’ at Rajangana parking space here

Udupi, Jan 15: Ugrana, a temporary storeroom built next to the Rajangana parking area, was named as ‘Anantha’ on Thursday, January 15.

Swamiji, speaking at the occasion said, “Ugrana is needed to store vegetables and food bags, which come from various parts of Udupi and Dakshina Kannada. The food grains and vegetables at the Ugrana will be used for preparing meals for the devotees visiting the Math. ‘Anantha’ means endless. Let it always be filled with food grains so that we can serve devotees in large numbers.”

There are separate partitions to store rice and vegetables. Once in 15 days, horekanike programme is scheduled.

Daivajna Yuva Brahmana Yuvaka Sangha will look after the warehouse under the guidance of Sri Krishna Seva Sangha. As many as 60 to 70 volunteers will work in shifts.

Vishnu Prasad, in charge and president of Daivajna Yuva Brahmana Yuvaka Sangha, Govindraju, member of Sri Krishna Seva Committee, Rajan Kalkura, Praveen Upadhya, Padmalath, Sumithra Kerematha, Kumaraswamy, Padmaltha, M S Vishnu, Shamala Deepak Shet, Subrahmany Shet, Lakshminarayana Acharya and others were present.
