Karkala, Jan 17: After a motorbike hit him, Felix D'Mello (87), resident of Nandalike, who was walking by, lost his life. The accident happened near the Anganwadi in Kedinje village.
Felix was walking by the roadside on January 14 when a motorbike which approached him from the opposite direction hit him. Felix fell on to the asphalted road with force and suffered serious injuries. He was admitted into a private hospital in the town for treatment. Later, as he was found to be in need of advanced treatment, he was taken to Manipal Hospital. However, his condition did not improve and his end came on January 15.
