Bengaluru, Jan 21: KAS Aggrieved Candidates Welfare Forum has charged Karnataka Public Service Commission officials of having made changes in the marks allotted by evaluators after digital valuation in all the examinations conducted by it.

President of Karnataka State Backward Classes Awareness Forum K S Shivaramu, addressing a press meet here on Monday January 20, said that widespread corruption is evident in the selection of 413 gazetted probationary officer posts conducted in 2015. "ID and passwords were created by KPSC officials for the evaluators. After the valuation, KPSC sources changed the marks, he alleged.

He explained that temporary selection list was released two years after the candidates appeared for the examination. The candidates were given only seven days to raise objections. Out of this period, there was holiday on three days. The commission overlooked objections filed by over 265 persons and released the final list, he pointed out.

Shivaramu said that KPSC released the selection list after carefully noting that the court and Karnataka Administrative Tribunal had holidays then. The fact that KPSC members appeared at the valuation centres proves that irregularities have indeed happened. Ayesha, one of the aggrieved candidates, said that posts earmarked for general category were transferred to other classes.
