Mangaluru, Feb 4: Former union minister, B Janardhana Poojary, who has not been keeping well of late, visited Lord Gokarnanatha temple at Kudroli here and Ullal Dargah where he offered special prayers. He implored the divine powers to shower their blessings on All India Congress Committee president, Sonia Gandhi, who is currently undergoing treatment at New Delhi for ill health.

Poojary, with his act, once again proved his unquestionable loyalty towards Gandhi family. Speaking after offering prayers at Kudroli, he said that Sonia Gandhi family members have been devotees of Kudroli temple since long. He recalled that Sonia Gandhi had initiated the centenary programmes of the temple in 2012. He said he has prayed the lord to give her good health and long life.

Poojary went to Ullal Dargah to pray for Sonia. Poojary had also offered prayers for Sonia and her son-in-law, Robert Vadra, during July last.

During his visit to Kudroli, Janardhana Poojary again vowed not to enter Kudroli temple if Sonia Gandhi does not return to good health within three days. During the previous Lok Sabha election, he had taken a vow not to enter the temple if Congress candidate, Mithun Rai, does not become victorious. He had returned to the temple later at the insistence of close ones, and had admitted to his mistake.
