Mangaluru: Nrityaangan to present seventh edition of 'Samarpan 2020'

Mangaluru, Feb 5: Nrityaangan, a registered trust, is organizing 'SAMARPAN 2020', the seventh edition, in the city.

This classical dance festival is scheduled to be held at Padua College Open Air Theatre, Nanthoor, here on February 8 and 9, from 5.45 pm onwards. The event will be inaugurated by Guru Sulochana V Bhat, director – Noopura Dance & Music Academy, Mangaluru.

on February 8, Anuradha Venkatraman and team (Bengaluru) will present ‘6 feet Land & Us’ – Bharatanatyam group production, Purbita Mukherjee and Rintu Das (Mumbai) will present a Manipuri duet, Prarthana B (Puttur) student of B Deepak Kumar will present a Bharatanatyam.

On February 9, Praveen Kumar (Bengaluru) will present ‘PANDHARPUR’, a solo thematic Bharatanatyam presentation with a live music ensemble, Shwetha Arehole and Twisha Shetty (Mangaluru) students of Vidyashree Radhakrishna will present a Bharatanatyam duet.

"Entry for both days is free," says the artiste and director of Nrityaangan Radhika Shetty in a press release.
