Udupi, Feb 6: “MP Anant Kumar Hegde has lost his mental balance. Let BJP give him medical treatment if they have respect and prestige. Dismiss him from the position of MP,” said Congress leader Ugrappa reacting to the questions of news reporters.

“It is not the voice of Anant Kumar alone but of BJP mindset. He has not apologized even though BJP warned him. If they have respect towards country’s tradition, Gandhiji and Ambedkar, they should take disciplinary action against Hegde. His membership should be terminated. The president, speaker and the prime minister should see it. He should be disqualified by the prime minister and speaker considering the matter. A legal case should be registered against him for anti constitution actions,” he urged.

Ugrappa who had come to Udupi to take part in Congress party programme said that today is the tragic day in the history of the state. “Ten MLAs who betrayed the will of the people, democracy, those who gave birth to politics, traded with BJP and elected by wrong means are made ministers. It is an insult to democracy and disastrous towards it. They should be sincere towards people at least from now on,” said Ugrappa.

“It is known that you won by the flow of money and misusing power. Let it be known to you that a party does not get destroyed just by losing elections. Your practice of servitude is exposed during oath taking. Give it up at least now. Respond to the problems of flood victims. Bring funds from the center to protect the welfare of the state,” he said.

Responding to the claim that the residence of Vijayendra is the center of BJP’s strength, he said “You alleged family based rule against us. Now the family of Yediyurappa is ruling. The people of the state are watching,” he said.
