Kundapur: Police complaint against man upon refusal to get tested for coronavirus

Kundapur, Mar 20: A person who recently came from abroad, had visited the outpatient department of the government hospital here on Thursday, March 19 for some treatment. It is said that when he was asked to come to the isolation ward for tests, he refused to do so. The chief medical officer of the hospital thereafter filed police complaint.
 
Later, Byndoor police found out the man and got him examined by a specialist doctor. The police said that that the doctor has confirmed that the person in question does not have coronavirus infection.
 
In the meantime, deputy commissioner of Udupi district said that the person who refused treatment at Kundapur hospital and went away was traced by the police and he was subjected to examination. He said that the people need not worry about the incident, and that the person in question has been ordered to be subjected to compulsory  quarantine at his home.
