Udupi: Rice, grocery distributed by donors among 25 poor families

Udupi, Apr 11: As much as 10 kg rice, sunflower oil, sugar and toor dal kits were distributed to each of 25 poor families of Ambalapady and Bankerkatta-Achargundi in Ambalapady gram panchayat limit to tide over the hardship faced by them due to lockdown against coronavirus.

The items were sponsored by donors.

Udupi taluk panchayat member Rajendra Pandubettu, BJP district spokesperson Shiva Kumar Ambalapady, former gram panchayat president A Yogish Shetty, gram panchayat members Bharati Bhasker, Pushpa Santhosh Shetty, locals Rajesh Suvarna, Krishna Kotian, Navin Suvarna, Mahendra Kotian, Sunil Kumar, Vinod Poojary and others were present.
