Veteran Photojournalist T S Satyan No More


Bangalore, Dec 13 (DHNS): Veteran photographer T S Satyan passed away on Sunday He was 85. He was born and brought up in Mysore. He was a pioneer in the field of photojournalism. 

Satyan preferred to freelance. His photos have been published in deccan Herald, Illustrated Weekly, Time and Life, Newsweek, Outlook and India Today.

He has published many photobooks and was awarded the Padma Shri in 1977.

He did special assignments to international agencies like UNICEF that has the distinction of having his pictures of children put up at the UN Headquarters in New York in 1977 to mark the International Year of the Child.
