Mangalore, Dec 13: The annual festive mass of the Feast of Our Lady of Pompei was held on Sunday December 13, at 5.30 pm on the open grounds of Urwa Church.

The Mass had the Bishop of Mangalore diocese Dr Aloysius Paul D’Souza as the main celebrant, along with 25 co-celebrants.

The sermon was preached in Kannada by Fr Baptist Menezes. The sermon had key points surrounding the message ‘Mary, an inspiration for Holiness.’

After the celebration of the Holy Mass, Fr Victor D’Mello, the parish priest of Urwa Church, thanked the persons in charge of various responsibilities.

The Eucharistic procession commenced soon after the final blessings. There were more than 150 volunteers for the day. The melodious choir was led by Melwyn Peris.
