Bangalore: Rains May Hit Southern Districts

Daijiworld Media Network – Bangalore (SP)

Bangalore, Dec 15: The meteorological department has cautioned that rains may hit the southern districts of the state in the next two days, as cyclone has formed over the Bay of Bengal.

The cyclonic storm had its epicenter about 360 kms away from Tamil Nadu coast on Sunday. Possibly, it will pass through Srilanka and Kanyakumari. If it hits the coast of Tamil Nadu, it is likely to leave a trail of destruction there.

The cyclonic condition may also cast its affects on the districts of Bangalore, Kolar, Tumkur, Mysore, Mandya and southern hinterlands of Karnataka. By the time it reaches the coast, it might either wane or gain momentum, the department said.
