Kundapur, Dec 16: U Vittal Shetty, 78-year-old veteran lawyer of the taluk, passed away recently following a brief illness.
He belonged to the first batch of MGM College (1949-51) and practiced as an advocate here for 45 years. He had also worked as a part-time lecturer at Sharada College, Basrur, for nearly 22 years.
Shetty is survived by his wife, four sons, and three daughters. The taluk Bar Association has conveyed its condolences to the bereaved family of the veteran who mentored many young lawyers and helped them excel in their profession.
