Bangalore, Dec 17: Another case, in which the influence of the so-called ‘Love Jehad’ has been alleged, has come up for hearing before the state High Court.

In his habeas corpus petition moved in the state High Court, Y S Srinivas, resident of Gadikoppa village in Shimoga district, has alleged that his daughter had been forcibly converted into Islam by a youth named Irfan.

“My daughter, who was studying in the second year of the BSc degree course in a college in Shimoga, did not keep a steady mental health. Because of this fact, her education had been discontinued, and she had been kept in her grandmother’s home. But this youth has abducted her. We have not been able to find her out,” he has said.

He also has alleged in the petition that his daughter has been subjected to forcible conversion.

The division bench headed by Justice Manjula Chellur, while ordering for the issuance of notices to the director general of police, home department and others, adjourned the case.
