Mangalore: KSHEMA Gets Hi-tech Renal Haemo-dialysis Unit

Mangalore, Dec 17: A state of the art hi-tech Renal Haemo-dialysis Unit was inaugurated at the K S Hegde Hospital at Deralakatte 0n Wednesday December 16.

Dr Sudrashan Ballal, director of the nephrology department of Manipal Hospital Bangalore, cut the ribbon to inaugurate the well equipped special ward which will offer a highly subsidized service to the poor and weaker sections of the society. Dr Sampath Kumar, hospital superintendent, welcomed the guests and Dr Shashidar Baikunje, head of the nephrology department of K S Hegde Medical Academy (KSHEMA), outlined the salient features of the section and future plans.








Dr M Shantaram Shetty, vice-chancellor of Nitte University, stressed on the need for providing such modern services at the hospitals and making them available to the people at affordable cost.

Dr Janardhan Kamath of the department proposed vote of thanks. The inaugural ceremony was attended by Vinay Hegde, chancellor of Nitte University, Dr Arunachalam Kumar, dean, and Dr Satish Bhandary, vice-dean of KSHEMA.
