Mangalore, Dec 19: “The person, who keeps nothing for himself, still has something to give to the others. He is always happy,” was the crux of the presidential address delivered by Fr Onil D’Souza, director, Canara Organization for Development and Peace – Institute for Social Development, at the inauguration of the workshop on ‘Rebuilding a Better Society Worldwide’.

The workshop, which was held recently at the Institute for Social Development, was jointly organized under the banner of ‘Persona’ by Freston Knowledge Foundation under the leadership of Peter Antony Pinto and the city-based Institute for Social Development.



The key speaker and the promoter of the topic was Udupi Immanuel Panchikal, who spoke on how the world will turn into a better place to live, if we give to the society and care for everyone in the world.

The workshop was inaugurated by MJF Ln Alwyn Patrick Patrao, district governor 324 D5, who said that one needs to be humane in his approach towards the society.

The guests were welcomed by Ruben Menezes, managing trustee of Freston Knowledge Foundation, and vote of thanks was proposed by Raveesh, president, Persona.  Fr Godfrey Saldanha extended his wishes on the occasion, and honoured the speaker.

The programme was compered by Preethi Kirthi D’Souza.
