Udupi, Dec 20: Home Minister Dr V S Acharya has exuded confidence that BJP will double its victory tally at the legislative council polls in the state.

Speaking to presspersons on Saturday December 19, Acharya said that the confidence exuded will be proved right once the results are our on Monday December 21. Minister was reacting to Congress leader D K Shivakumar’s statement and added that Congress and JD (S) in the state are under the illusion of forming government in Karnataka. 

No Permission from GP Required for Nagarjuna

Reacting to the decision taken at the meeting held recently under the leadership of Pejawar senior seer Vishweshateetha Swamiji on Nagarjuna project that the project works should not be taken up unless proper documents are produced; Acharya said that a company that has permisiion from Single Window Agency need not take permission from gram panchayat. Maps and other documents needs to be produced only after project works completion for tax purposes. Swamiji has been informed about these facts, minister clarified.
