Mangalore: Former Corp Bank MD, M R Kamat No More

Mangalore, Dec 22: Mulky Rama Kamath (87), former chairman and managing director of Corporation Bank, breathed his last on Monday December 21 in the city. He is survived by wife, a son and two daughters.

Kamat had functioned as the chairman of Corporation bank from 1971 to 1975. Earlier, he had worked as the chief officer in Reserve Bank of India. He had served Reserve Bank of India in various capacities, at places like Mumbai, Tiruvanantapuram, Chennai etc. He was known for upholding ethical values, discipline and efficiency, wherever he worked. After retirement, he used to stay at Kodical in the city.
