Mangalore: Angelore Parish Holds Bible Quiz Competitions

Guardian Angels, parish, Angelore, organized an inter-parish Bible quiz competitions, as part of the year-long platinum jubilee celebration of parish at Capitanio High School hall here on Sunday December 20.
 
Diocese vicar general monsignor Denis Moras Prabhu inaugurated the Bible quiz competitions. Angelore parish priest Fr Stany B Lobo, assistant parish priest Fr Gratian Alvares, parish council vice-president Jossy D’Souza, secretary Philomena Tauro and Bible quiz convenor Sr Humbelne were present on the dais.
 


All together 25 parishes participated in the competitions. In the first and preliminary round seven parishes were eliminated and in the second round 13 parishes were eliminated. Only five parishes entered the final round. Angelore parish won the competitions, Holy Cross parish, Cordel bagged the second place and Our Lady of Health parish, Shirva bagged the third place.
 
Edwin Coutinho, Albert Lasrado and Mary Patrao conducted the quiz competitions. An inter-parish Bible quiz competitions were the first of its kind organized by a parish in the Mangalore diocese.
