Bangalore: Salman Khurshid Participates In Archbishops Christmas Vigil Service

Bangalore, Dec 25: The Catholic congregaton at St Francis Xavier’s Cathedral in Cleveland town were in for a pleasant surprise to see union minister for minority and corporate affairs, Salman Khurshid along with his wife, family members and friends joining the midnight Christmas vigil service celebrated by Archbishop Rev. Dr. Bernard Moras.



At a brief get-together after the service, the Archbishop updated the minister about the attacks on the churches in different parts of the state. Urging the minister to safeguard the Constitutional rights of the minorities, he was informed that the state government has being apprised of the attacks on places of Christian worship, especially since 2008.

Minister said that he was honoured and privileged to take part in the holy mass celebrated by the archbishop. He also appreciated the warm welcome and the special prayers and blessings accorded by the archbishop. He assured that he will use his good offices, to safeguard the minority rights and the secular fabric of our country.
