Cop's wife stabs seven-year-old daughter before killing self

Mumbai, June 12: In an incident at Badlapur in Thane, a cop's wife killed herself after stabbing their seven year old daughter to death on Wednesday, June 10.

Her mother-in-law was at the residence when Meenatai, the cop's wife killed her daughter and herself.

The incident occurred at their residence in Chirgaon under Badlapur Township on Wednesday night after her husband left for duty, senior inspector of Badlapur police station, D V Deshmukh said.

“After dinner, the woman went into her bedroom with her daughter while her mother-in-law and nephew slept in the hall… Later, the mother-in-law heard shouts from the bedroom, which was locked from inside. She tried to break open the door, but could not open it,” Deshmukh said.

Upon hearing the shouts, some neighbors rushed to the house and broke open the bedroom door and found lifeless body of the seven year old daughter. The woman was rushed to the hospital but was pronounced dead upon arrival.

A murder case is registered against the mother and accidental death report at the local police station.

    Schoking.when mothers kill thei r own child,there must be some problem either by mother .Hope it will be cleared soon.But too late to bring back childs life.May the childs soul rest in peace.Heartfelt sympathy to the father and rest family.Nowadays children are becoming opfer of household problems.Specially now during corona crises children are at home,mother/father are at home many times no job ,money Aggressive mind set makes caretaker s big problem
