Mangaluru, Jul 1: MRPL sponsored Over Head Tanks (OHT) at Swamilapadau - Bajpe, HPCL Colony - Jokatte and Padupanambur were inaugurated on June 30 by Umanath Kotian, MLA – Moodbidri in the presence of BHV Prasad, GGM – HR, Sai Prathvi Salian, Panchayat officials and MRPL CSR Team. An Anganawadi Centre at Padupanambur was also inaugurated by the MLA with Sai Prathvi Salian in the presence of MRPL and other officials.

The OHT tank at Bajpe and Jokatte were of 50 thousand litre capacity and were built at Rs 15 lac each and the OHT at Padupanambur was of one lac litre capacity and was built at Rs 25 lac cost.

MRPL has initiated to build 25 Anganawadi centres in DK district by equally sharing the cost with MGNREGA (Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act). The cost of each Anganawadi centre is Rs 10 lac and MRPL contributes Rs 5 lac for each of the centres. The Anganawadi centre at Padupanambur is the second such centre and one at Konaje was inaugurated last week.
