Byndoor, Jul 6: Varalakshmi Charitable Trust is drawing attention for its humane work. In another human endeavour it has constructed a house for a poor family. The trust in the leadership of Govinda Babu Poojary has shown that the trusts can also work in this manner.

The family of Bayamhitlu resident Baby Subbayya's family had a dream of constructing their own house. But it was not possible due to lack of funds. The house which only had a foundation is completed by the trust.

The family of Baby Devadiga has resided in a hut since the last thirty years. As it was about to collapse, they wanted to construct a house. Bengaluru based businessman Vandse Ramesh Devadiga and a few donors helped them for the foundation. The family of Baby Devadiga also used their savings for it. The foundation and a part of the walls were constructed. But they could not proceed any further. The family came in touch with the trust through the help of an elected representative two months ago who promised to complete the construction.

The trust has completed the construction now. The roof, vitrified tiles for the flooring and painting are done. The house was handed over to the family on July 6.

The parents of Govinda Babu Poojary, Babu and Manjamma handed over the house to the beneficiaries. Raghunath Joishi conducted the rituals. Govinda Babu Poojary and his wife Malati Govinda Babu Poojary were present. Gururaja Poojary arranged meals. Baby Subbayya Devadiga expressed gratitude to the donors.

Varalakshmi Charitable Trust, Uppunda managing trustee, Govinda Babu Poojary said that the trust has provided aid for social, spiritual and educational sectors.

Entrepreneur, Govind Babu Poojary has become a model for youth in business. He started the trust and is donating several lacs of rupees towards noble cause. He concentrates on health and educational sectors, hands over scholarships, adopts students and encourages educational institutes.
