Bengaluru, Jul 28: Information Technology major Microsoft Company donated three real-time PCR-based testing machines COVID-19 detection to the state government.
Chief minister B S Yediyurappa, who spoke after the RT-PCRT machines were received in his home office of Krishna on Tuesday during a virtual meeting, appreciated the assistance offered by private IT companies in the government’s fight to tackle the corona pandemic.
The wholehearted cooperation of the public is essential in controlling the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic, he said.
Deputy chief minister Govind M Karjol, home minister Basavaraj Bommai, Kannada and culture minister C T Ravi and Microsoft vice-president and managing director Rajiv Kumar, HR chief Sandeep Srivatsav and finance director Amaresh Ramaswamy were present.
