Mangaluru, Jul 29: Ashalatha (36) from Kollabettu in Badaguliplady village in the taluk, had gone missing since July 27. Her lifeless body was found on Tuesday July 28.
Ashalata had gone to bed after dinner on July 26. The next morning, she was found to have gone missing. A thorough search for her had failed to yield any result. Thereafter, her husband, Ramanath Moolya, had filed a complaint at Bajpe police station.
On Tuesday, her body was found in a well located near her home. It is said that out of the couple's two children, one had died of ill health recently, and this incident had left Ashalatha mentally devastated. It is suspected that unable to bear the agony of the loss of her child, she would have resorted to this extreme step.
